I’m Jack Riley, a 29-year-old Cinematographer and Editor with over six years of experience in the natural history and obs-doc space. I was an editor on the Emmy Award-winning series Puff: Wonders of the Reef and Cinematographer on the AACTA-nominated documentary series Australia’s Wild Odyssey. I have spent the last two years as Director of Photography on Kimberley: The Wild North West, an international human-wildlife series set to be broadcast on ABC, ARTE, and Love Nature, set for release in 2025. My work focuses on operating a wide array of technical equipment in the most challenging environments.

The Kimberley:
Series Director of Photography
As Director of Photography for the three-part documentary series The Kimberley, I’m excited to capture the breathtaking beauty of this extraordinary, biodiverse region. Premiering in 2025, the series follows the wildlife of the Kimberley across a year, while highlighting the conservation efforts of Traditional Owners and experts working to protect it. Shooting this series was the greatest challange in my career to date, using a wide array of camera systems in challenging enviroments to capture world class natural history sequences. It’s been an honuor to help bring this vital story to the screen, celebrating both the beauty of nature and the deep connections people have with the land.
